Enoki Pass (haiku) |
---|
death his fulfillment
the samurai leaves his wife
never to return
she knows this to be
their right path and destiny
weeps and bows good bye
her path is to live
no matter what, remember
he died for his land
because a line drawn
must be defended to death
or it wastes the ink
sometimes ink need be
squandered before it reveals
a meaningful truth
but ultimately
we all grasp there is nothing
meaningful in life
a nihilist, I
convinced of the emptiness
why bother to write?
because I don't have
all the answers I must be
wrong. an utter fool
but there are also
no questions and not a thing
to worry about
and thus my head spins
a tumbleweed in the wind
and I cannot sleep
