Glimmer |
---|
I see only the ears
if I listen, I hear lips parting
but my mouth opens only
to proclaim cardiac whispers
— the fluttering of a heart
that beats for thee,
and the glimmer of dragonflies
and other winged creatures
thou call’st kin
if I walk, the ears turn
if thy lips part
‘tis for my pleasure
if thine heart opens, a charm
of hummingbirds gossips
the house a symphony
sweet sunlight suffuses
all smiles and promises
and my soul finds peace
